One key component of a successful church website (and any business website) is interaction with your members. We’ve found in the past that a terrific way to do this is to provide them with a system to share their prayer requests and praise reports with our praying body of Christ. Before I switched over to a WordPress based website in 2012 I was running our old site with Joomla and I used a free extension called PrayerCenter which I do recommend if you’re running a Joomla ministry site. Both of these plugins offer users the ability to submit a request and subscribe via email to requests. This WordPress Prayer Engine Plugin has really taken it up a notch by adding the ability to
- Customize the engine to fit your site,
- The request includes a button titled “I prayed for this” so the submitter can get notified.
- Praise Report
- Provides tiered access to an unlimited group of administrators, enabling your staff to delegate.
When a new prayer request is received, administrators are instantly notified by email to moderate and respond to the need. When a new prayer request is added, The Prayer Engine automatically sends the user an email containing the details of their request and a unique removal link.
